<p>The 4B Laskin-Nozzle aerosol generator is durable, portable, and reliable. Designed for testing filter systems ranging from small glove boxes to large cleanroom plenums, ATI Laskin-Nozzle generators provide the ideal solution for creating a polydispersed, submicron aerosol to certify and qualify in-situ filter systems. End users include independent filter certifiers, government and commercial nuclear facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical facilities, and other industrial applications.</p>
<h3>A Flexible Solution</h3>
<p>The 4B generator produces an industry standard true Laskin III-A repeatable aerosol and features adjustable aerosol concentration output to meet multiple application requirements. The 4B generator is used in conjunction with an aerosol photometer to measure the aerosol penetration of an individual filter or filter system, typically to identify, quantify, and repair leaks. Concentrations can be achieved from 100 μg/l down to 10 μg/l at airflows ranging from 810 to 8,100 cfm*.</li>

<h3>Rugged Convenient Design</h3>
<p>The 4B features rugged stainless steel, with easily cleanable construction, a large fill port, jet and pressure control, integrated pressure relief valve, and a standard three-inch sanitary fitting outlet collar.</p>
<h3>Integrated Pressure Relief Valve</h3>
<p>An integrated passive pressure relief valve provides added operator safety. The pressure relief valve prevents pressure build-up in the tank if the aerosol outlet port is accidentally blocked.</p>

<p>Generating the widest aerosol concentration range available, the 5D accommodates both high- and low-flow environments, from cabinets<sup>1</sup> to the most demanding cleanroom installations. And with<strong> <em>flex-fuel capability</em></strong>, the 5D can use the following reagents, including DOP (DEHP), PAO-4, DOS (DEHS), Ondina EL, or mineral oil.<sup>2</sup></p>

ATI oil aerosol reagent products are suitable for government, nuclear, and FDA-regulated testing applications.</p>
<h2>PAO-4 Reagent</h2>
<p>Four-centistoke PAO (Chemical Abstract System ID 6864 9-12-7) reagents offer a U.S. Food &amp; Drug Administration-approved alternative to DOP in FDA-regulated filter leakage testing applications. PAO is approved by the U.S. Army Surgeon General and is used by the United States military as a substitute for DOP in their filter and mask testing processes.</p>
<h2>Ondina X 420 (EMEA Only)</h2>
<p>Ondina X 420 is the latest version of Ondina, manufactured by Shell. Its CAS (Chemical Abstract System) Number is 1262661-88-0. The earlier Ondina EL version was listed in ISO 14644-3:2005 as one of the typical substances used to generate test aerosols, and X 420 continues to be widely used for in-situ testing of HEPA filters.</p>
